Moving Target, also Dan's music publishing company, is an ensemble of musicians featuring Jay Heath on saxophones, flute, and vocals; Dan on guitars, keyboard, harmonicas, and lead vocals, and Jeff Dillon on percussion. See Band Bios below for more details about the band members.

Regulars at Sharky's on the Pier, Moving Target started as a "fill in" band on Sunday evenings at the Longboat Key Hilton when someone else couldn't make the gig. They quickly became the band of preference and branched out to become one of the area's leading groups. Moving Target performs at popular night spots, large corporate functions, music festivals, and private clubs and parties.
